About This Place

Located on Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas in the vibrant heart of El Medano Ejidal, Cabo San Lucas, La Pintada stands out as a must-visit Mexican restaurant and bar that perfectly marries authentic regional flavors with an inviting social atmosphere. This spot is more than just a place to eat—it’s an experience that brings together the best of Mexican cuisine, craft beverages, and warm hospitality under one roof.

At La Pintada, the culinary journey begins with a diverse menu that showcases the rich textures and bold flavors emblematic of Baja California’s coastal influences. Seafood lovers will find themselves enchanted by the Shrimp Tacos and Oysters On The Shell, each bite delivering a refreshing burst of oceanic freshness balanced with zesty, piquant accompaniments. The Tostadas Aguachile Abulon and Ceviche Peruano further elevate the seafood repertoire, offering layers of complexity and subtle heat that tease the palate.

For those craving heartier fare, dishes like the Chicken Mole Enchiladas and Arrachera showcase richly marinated meats paired with traditional sauces, conjuring comforting yet exciting flavor profiles. The Hamburguesa Miraflores, with its rib eye meat and chorizo, alongside the Hamburguesa La Pintada, underscores La Pintada’s ability to blend Mexican flavors with American classics, resulting in indulgent, juicy burgers that appeal to carnivores and casual diners alike.

The bar program shines just as brightly as the kitchen, featuring craft beers known for their vibrant hop profiles, which have garnered praise from visitors seeking something beyond the usual offerings. Signature cocktails like the Grapefruit Martini present an elegant balance of citrus brightness and smooth spirituous depth, enhancing every dining moment. For those looking for a more interactive and educational experience, the Cata de Cervezas — a curated beer tasting — is a highlight that many find unforgettable, even if it occasionally surprises the wallet!

What truly sets La Pintada apart, however, is its atmosphere—an easygoing yet sophisticated vibe that makes it perfect for family dinners, gatherings with friends, or casual dates. The rooftop space, frequently booked for celebrations such as holiday Posadas, adds a charming element of open-air dining under Cabo’s starry skies. Reviewers like Mishan Andre highlight how reliable and attentive the service is, noting that the staff’s friendliness and professionalism consistently elevate the overall experience.

The dining environment is thoughtfully crafted to soothe and delight. Air conditioning keeps guests comfortable during warmer days, while the artistic touches—from beautifully presented dishes to quirky details like the uniquely adorned men's restroom—reflect a genuine passion for creating a memorable visit. The staff’s warm, attentive nature is repeatedly praised, making each guest feel welcomed and well cared for, whether it’s a quick lunch or a leisurely multi-course dinner.

In sum, La Pintada is a captivating blend of authentic Mexican flavors, expertly crafted beverages, and attentive service that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you’re craving the zesty spice of Tacos Sarandeados, the comforting warmth of Sopa Chopin, or a perfectly chilled Café Mexicano to round out your meal, this Cabo San Lucas gem invites you to savor every bite and sip in a lively yet relaxed setting. It’s no wonder both locals and visitors return time and again to experience its unique charm.

We are such a big fan of La Pintada. Our kids love it. Our friends love it. And our company loves it as we had our holiday Posada here on the rooftop. You are always guaranteed great food and excellent service. This operation is so tight, it’s always a reliable dinner for our family. Edith has put together another fantastic operation. And I had to take a photo of the flowers in the men’s restroom. One of those things most places don’t think about—and most women never even get to see—but is so thoughtful and unexpected. If you haven’t tried the Imperial Shrimp, stop what you’re doing and get to Pintada now!!

Best fish tacos ever. Also nice cocktails. I liked octopus. Fish is great. I did not like enchiladas however, but everything else is good. We went there all the time during vacation. And they have air conditioner.

This restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the staff treated my family and me like royalty. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. The food? Simply outstanding! Everything was so fresh, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. You can tell they take great pride in the quality of their ingredients and the care they put into every dish. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal, this place is perfect. I can’t recommend it enough and will absolutely be returning on my next trip to Cabo. Thank you for making our visit so special!

I had such an amazing time!!! Ah, I thought it was a tequila tasting but turns out they were selling it by the glass. I got mesmerized by the pretty bottle and decided to try it, only to find out it was ridiculously expensive. I had a moment of shock when I saw the bill. But honestly, no regrets. The beer was amazing and the food was delicious. Tip: The staff are great at upselling! Stay sharp so you don’t end up ordering everything on impulse! Lol

Great staff, great food, great beer. Really enjoyed my visit. The craft beer here was great, much more hoppy than the beer at baja brewing. And the lunch deal was a steal, i got 3 courses here for the price of an appetiser at most other places.

Went here with my friend for a late lunch. He has been bugging me for a while to go here because of the amazing food. I have to say he was 100% right. I will go back once again simply just to have the soup. It was amazing. From my experience it’s hard to find a good hamburger in Cabo San Lucas. This was actually an amazing hamburger. Complementary nachos with salsa and it came with a dessert, which was displayed on a small handmade Mexican chair. I must say I’m looking forward to going back here. The menu had a lot of great options on it. I highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

If you want amazing Mexican Flan come to this restaurant. We stopped in one evening and it was some of the best we have ever had. The next day we decided to come for their 3 course Executive Menu for 250 Pesos. Their smoked salmon dip with chips is delicious! The food and service was great. Roberto is the manager and he does an excellent job running the place.

Location is very convenient for the tourist, and the staff is super nice and friendly. Also they got an amazing beer menu, the bartender knows his business. The only thing that didn’t match the rest of the experience was the “taste/flavor” presentation was good, fairly priced, descent portion, but not a lot of flavor going on. Kinda disappointed but maybe the cook was having a bad day, anyway I will come back for a second experience.
